Thanks to several spy shots taken of a 2015 Ford F-150 in testing, it’s become fairly clear that Ford’s designers were using the Atlas concept pickup as a way to gauge their next big design in this 13th generation of the series.
With those spy shots in mind, David Kiss, a graphic artist at auto site TopSpeed.com created a rendering of what the next F-150 will look like. Before we get to the look of the truck, let us just say that this is one heck of a rendering. Just about good enough to pass as a promotional photo.
In his rendering, Kiss worked in the Atlas’ headlights, hood and grille but tweaked “them a bit to give it a more on-road approach.” If you compare the Atlas and this rendering side-by-side there are few differences, save for the slimmer, less-chromed out look the rendering have which lends to its realistic feel and probable accuracy.
Unfortunately we won’t know just how accurate this rendering is until next January at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
