The big show is fast approaching, and ConExpo exhibitors have given us a sneak peek into what they’ll have in store for those attending the March 7-11 massive exhibition. Here’s the spotlight on three exhibitors in the North Hall:

The G Series Tier 4 Final wheel loader lineup from Case Construction Equipment includes seven new models ranging from 141 to 347 horsepower and sized from 2.1 to 6.25 cubic yards. The all-new operating environment features electro-hydraulic controls, using a solid-state controller that provides software control over electrical power distribution and basic vehicle functions, and thus eliminating fuses and relays and reducing the amount of wiring throughout the machine. A membrane keypad replaces a series of rocker switches for common machine functions. The loaders have three linkage options: Z-bar, for breakout force and general operation, XR for extended reach and XT for a parallel-lift configuration that handles palletized materials.

Other equipment on display: New product introductions plus the SV340 skid steer and CX490D excavator.

Volvo Ec750 E 2b2Volvo Construction Equipment, booth N-10036

Volvo Dig Assist allows excavator operators to set job parameters, such as target depth and grade, conduct in-field design and view job progress in real time, ensuring the work meets exact specifications. Volvo calls ActiveCare Direct the “first telematics monitoring service offered at the OEM level and supported through the company’s dealer network.”

Booth activities: Interact with intelligent operator systems, machine monitoring technologies and visit a 3D theater. Meet and have your photos taken with the stars of Discovery Channel’s Gold Rush. (Other activities and displays at Volvo’s Gold Lot booth, G-3894)

Other equipment on display: 26 machines will be on display, including the 60H artic, the EC750E, new wheel loaders, and the HX02, a concept battery-electric, autonomous load carrier. A gold-painted A40G on display will conclude the company’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the articulated hauler.

An 8-inch interactive, adjustable touchscreen cluster-monitor is a standard feature on the Hyundai HX 260 excavator, part of the 10-model HX lineup. The monitor provides clear visibility to key gauges, work modes, service intervals and the All Around View Monitoring system for 360-degree surround virtual operating view. Operators can maintain a constant view of the workplace from the front, rear, left and right.
