A former Caterpillar executive will succeed Terry Dolan to lead the North American commercial business for CNH Industrial's Case Construction Equipment and New Holland Construction.
Kris Dahl joined CNH September 14, 2026, and will transition to the leadership position October 1. Dolan will support Dahl’s onboarding and will continue with CNH until December 30. The leadership transition comes as Case prepares to celebrate its 185th anniversary in 2027.
Dahl’s career at Caterpillar spanned 25 years, most recently serving as the senior director of technology, responsible for Caterpillar's global mining technology sales, commercial and supply chain, including MineStar Command, Detect, Terrain and Edge. He also brings engineering, product development and operations experience, as well as extensive work with customers, dealers and teams across global construction and mining markets.
Dolan’s retirement was planned and concludes a decades-long career in the heavy equipment industry, including two separate stints at CNH. CNH says his tenure is marked by “product innovation, strengthened dealer and customer relationships and a renewed vision” for the brands.
Dolan rejoined CNH and the Case brand in 2021. In 2025, his responsibilities expanded to include leadership over both Case and New Holland Construction. Products launched during the period included the Minotaur DL550 compact dozer loader, and expansion into subcompact equipment and continued development of its electric equipment portfolio.

Dahl looks to build on the foundation that Dolan and the Case and New Holland team have established, saying, “Terry’s leadership, his commitment to our dealers and customers and his passion for this brand have made a lasting impact.
