Komatsu recently announced a few changes to its senior leadership team that will take effect April 1.
Current President and CEO Kunio Noji will become Chairman of the Board, filling a vacancy left by Masahiro Sakane who will be retiring from that position. Sakane will not be leaving the company entirely however, and will instead become a Director and Councilor.
Tetsuji Ohashi has been named the company’s next President and CEO, filling the spot Noji leaves. Ohashi moves to that position from his current position of Director and Senior Executive Officer.
Ohashi holds a bachelors degree in science and engineering from the University of Tokyo and joined Komatsu in 1977.
The company has also announced that Yohinori Komamura will be moving from his roles as Representative Director and Executive Vice President to a new role as Director.
