Wells Fargo buys CIT Construction

Wells Fargo has purchased CIT construction, the U.S. construction lending business unit of CIT Group. Neither company disclosed terms of the agreement.

As of March, CIT Construction had $2.4 billion in assets and employed 235 people. The purchase is expected to be completed by the end of June.
