JLG Industries continues to expand its after-market business with the opening of its third ServicePLUS location in Kennesaw, Ga. ServicePLUS offers customers equipment repair and inspections, maintenance and reconditioning, mobile service and training on all JLG products, in addition to competing manufacturers’ products.
“We have a long-term strategic plan here at JLG to generate at least 35 percent of consolidated operating profit by 2011 from business activities other than machine sales, and the service aspect of our business is an integral part in that effort,” says Greg Fries, manager of investor relations at JLG.
JLG’s two other ServicePLUS are located in Houston, Texas, and McConnellsburg, Pa. The company specializes in access equipment, such as aerial work platforms and telehandlers.
