Continental Tire North America has announced that it will close its Mayfield, Kentucky, facility in six months. Declining business conditions and escalating energy and raw materials costs were cited as reasons for the closure.
The Mayfield plant produces products for other CTNA tire facilities and does not produce tires. The company says this plant’s closure should not have any impact on its customers.
