Cummins has named Gail Farnsley vice president and chief information officer and John Watkins, Jr., currently managing director — Cummins, East Asia, a vice president.
Farnsley will be responsible for implementing a gloval IT stategy to drive standard processes, architecture and applications across the company. She will also work with business and IT leaders to develop policies and prioritize IT initiatives focused on driving down day-to-day operation costs.
Watkins joined Cummins in July 2003 to lead its operations in China and East Asia after an 18-year career with Northwest Airlines. He is based in Beijing and oversees one of Cummins’ fastest-growing geographical markets.
