Cummins adds shopping cart feature to QuickServe site

Cummins has announced the development of a shopping cart feature, available in April, that will allow users of its QuickServe Online site to view a parts catalog for their engine and find the parts they need. For example, the company says someone who owns a skid steer loader, an excavator, a concrete breaker and a Dodge Ram with Cummins diesel engines can now identify and order the right parts for repair direct from a Cummins distributor. “Now any engine operator can fill an online shopping cart and send an order directly to their Cummins distributor,” said Mike Champlin, director of PowerCare eBusiness and information products. “They don’t have to call in; they don’t have to walk in. Their parts can be shipped directly to their location.” QuickServe’s content is customized by engine serial number. The site receives more than 19 million hits every month.
