Moeller sells North American sales operation

Moeller GmbH, a European supplier of low-voltage industrial components and automation products, has sold the assets of its North American sales operation to John W. Hamm, an executive in the U.S. controls industry. The new company will act as Moeller’s sales agent in North America. Hamm, president and chief executive of the company, is assuming responsibility for all of Moeller’s North American operations, which include regional facilities, sales offices and about 350 employees located throughout the United States and Canada. Hamm’s most recent job was with Sprecher + Schuh, a division of Rockwell Automation, where he worked as president for 22 years. He has also been co-owner of a Houston-based industrial supply company. Moeller, headquartered in Bonn, Germany, has been doing business in the United States since 1952 and in Canada since 1957. It’s North American headquarters is located in Houston.
