Atlas Copco acquires ground engineering company

Atlas Copco has acquired Rotex Oy, a Finnish manufacturer of consumables for overburden drilling. The company will become part of Atlas Copco Craelius, a division within Atlas Copco’s Construction and Mining Technique business. Rotex products complement Atlas Copco Craelius’s present range of overburden drilling consumbles, and the acquisition will widen the company’s product portfolio in that market segment, Atlas Copco said in a press release. Rotex is based in Tampere, Finland, with direct sales and distribution in several countries worldwide.
