Carlisle Companies buys specialty tire, wheel business

Carlisle Companies announced July 1 it has acquired the specialty tire and wheel business of Trintex, a manufacturer of semi-pneumatic tires and wheels for lawn and garden and industrial markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Richmond McKinnish, president and chief executive of Carlisle, said the purchase is a good addition to the company’s portfolio as it extends its product line offering.
