International names vice president, general manager for heavy vehicle center

International Truck and Engine Corporation has appointed Thomas Baughman vice president and general manager of the company’s heavy vehicle center. Baughman replaces Jordan Feiger, who has accepted a new position within the company. Baughman will lead the company’s efforts to grow its heavy business, including a $300 million investment International is making in the new line-haul Class 8 truck. He will also manage growth initiatives for all current heavy-duty products, including the International 9900 premium conventional, 9400 and 9200 aero line-haul products and the 8600 and 8500 regional haul trucks. Baughman brings to International 30 years of experience in the truck industry. Formerly with Ford Motor Company, he led several key functions for its truck unit, such as product development and production launch for six major vehicle lines, including medium trucks and motor home chassis. Most recently, he served as executive director of product development for Ford’s Tough Truck vehicle cluster.
