Tramac founder Bataille dies

Jacques Bataille, founder of the Tramac group of companies, died recently. The elder son of Georges Bataille, founder of Poclain, Jacques Bataille was born in France and joined the family agricultural equipment business after graduating from engineering school. He resigned as general sales manager in 1966, and then founded Tramac, which was known in the early ’70s for introducing RayGo rollers in Europe. Tramac later introduced fully hydraulic breakers in North America. Bataille served as chairman of the French association of construction equipment manufacturers.
