Caterpillar is expanding its remanufacturing business to provide services to manufacturers and customers in the automotive, industrial and defense industries. Caterpillar Remanufacturing Services will continue to be the exclusive provider of Caterpillar remanufactured parts distributed through the Caterpillar dealer network. The company is one of the world’s largest remanufacturers, with its current program processing more than 2 million units annually and recycling more than 100 million pounds of used products each year.
Cat has also renamed Caterpillar Industrial Products. It is now OEM Solutions Group. The company says the name change reinforces the group’s commitment to its mission of developing long-term relationships in key markets with manufacturers that value integration with Caterpillar technologies and a strategic partnership with Caterpillar. Whether products are for an OEM customer or Caterpillar itself, product development discipline follows a similar path.
