Freightliner unveils 2004 engines, new interior

Freightliner Trucks has announced the 2004 model Mercedes-Benz MBE4000 and MBE900 diesel engines for Freightliner heavy- and medium-duty trucks. According to the company, the engines offer excellent performance and fuel economy, low operating costs and lasting durability. The 12.8-liter MBE4000 is a heavy-duty engine that can be used for vocations and bulk-haul applications. The engine is offered in the Century S/T and Columbia, as well as in heavier duty Business Class M2 vehicles. The 4.3- through 7.2-liter MBE 900 is used in medium-duty truck applications, and is offered in Business Class M2 trucks.
The company’s new Signature Interior provides you with an additional option for interior comfort and style, now available for the Century Class S/T and Columbia heavy-duty truck lines. The interior is available in vinyl or cloth with four color options. Color-matched curtains and loop-cut pile carpeting complement the new trim panels, which feature button-tufted styling, a diamond stitch pattern and a color-keyed Freightliner logo on the back wall.
