Sandvik Tamrock, Allied Construction combine demo attachment businesses

Demolition attachments manufactured by Sandvik Tamrock and Allied Construction Products will be marketed under the Rammer and Allied brand names after Jan. 1.

Both companies announced Aug. 29 they plan to combine their demolition attachments businesses in the North American marketplace. As part of the agreement, Allied will take on the Rammer product line, and Sandvik will be an exclusive supplier of Allied breakers. The joint venture will be owned by Allied’s shareholders and by Sandvik.

Although the Rammer product line consists of hydraulic hammers, cutter-crushers, pulverizers, pedestal boom systems and tools, only the demolition sector will be affected by the Sandvik/Allied venture.
