Skyjack to refurbish equipment through new program

For many contractors, refurbishing old equipment can save a lot of money and extend the life of a fleet. Skyjack, manufacturer of scissor lift work platforms, agrees. The company recently created a complete refurbishment and reconditioning program for aging aerial work platforms.

The program, called SJ-Recon, focuses on refurbishing scissor lifts, booms and other industrial equipment. Equipment is refurbished at Skyjack’s 150,000-square-foot facility in Guelph, Ontario, where the company is currently working on more than 600 customer-owned units.

“Customers want to extend the lifecycle of their fleet and we help them do exactly that,” said Tom O’Reilly, Recon business development manager.

Brochures describing the reconditioning process and a list of reconditioning/replacement inspection points are available on the company’s website. For links to Recon information or to check for weekly specials on refurbished Skyjack equipment, click on the link to the right.
