Outside of North America this is sold as the RT 75, reflecting its 55 metric tonne rating.
Both units have already been sold to major US rental companies. The identity of the customers will be revealed at the show.
Global Crane also offers Zoomlion RT 35 and RT 100 models to customers worldwide
These models are the first RT cranes assembled in China to secure ANSI B30.5 conformity. They have been designed with significant input from the US-based distributor, whose management team includes crane professionals with many years’ experience at other leading manufacturers.
Zoomlion rough terrain cranes use significant US and European components for peak performance even on the most challenging construction sites. These include:
- Cummins engine
- Dana transmission
- Kessler and Axletech axles
- Rexroth hydraulics
- Greer load moment indicator (LMI).
Steel for critical elements including telescopic boom sections and outriggers also comes from Europe.
Vice president Uri Toudjarov reports that Global Crane has taken orders for several dozen Zoomlion RTs around the world since signing up with the Chinese manufacturer last year.
“Despite the poor economic conditions, we have penetrated every major RT market in the world,” he says.
Mr Toudjarov says that there are three key reasons why Zoomlion RTs have fired the interest of customers:
- They are designed to be the strongest in their class
