With its split-drum design and wide offset capability, the Caterpillar CD54 double-drum vibratory compactor can be both a 67-inch-wide primary roller and a 118-inch-wide finish-pass unit. The split-drum design reduces tearing and pushing of the mat, says Caterpillar.
