Volvo Construction Equipment has released three new buckets designed for its L110-L350 wheel loaders the company says handle material so much more efficiently that they can reduce fuel consumption up to 10 percent.

“One of the best ways to increase production and limit fuel costs is to efficiently match the bucket to the jobsite,” says Stefan Salomonsson, Volvo wheel loaders product manager. “These new buckets allow for larger material capacity and keep a clean and level work area, so operators can move more in less time.”

All three buckets are matched to specific ground conditions:

  • Rehandling Bucket: Great for transporting aggregate in normal conditions
  • Rehandling Flat Floor Bucket: Designed to maximize traction and penetration on sand and other soft terrain. Designed for handling, stockpiling and loading processed materials such as sand, gravel and aggregate.
  • Sand Bucket: Designed for very soft ground conditions where tire traction is compromised. Handles sand or aggregate while long bucket floor maximizes penetration for better fill.

Volvo says the new buckets are designed for easier filling while convex side plates keep all the material in place. Minimized pockets prevent different material grades from mixing. A two-piece midsection features a bolt-on cutting edge for easy replacement and all three buckets are available for both Torque Parallel and Z-Bar linkage on Volvo wheel loaders.
