Software upgrade ties GPS and total station into system

The Trimble Site Positioning System includes an array of products that allow you to select total station or GPS technology for tracking, reporting, validating and controlling workflow on the jobsite including surface modeling volume computations, site measurement and real-time stakeout with cut-and-fill checks. The system is tied together with the SCS900 Site Controller software version 1.2 with a light bar display that works just like a laser receiver, showing existing elevation, design elevation and the cut/fill values map. It also records simple stockpiles or complex progress volumes and allows you to measure a surface, create, edit, model and compute the volume on site. The hardware for the system includes the cable-free SPS700 total station, the SPS780 GPS Smart Antenna and the SPS770 GPS receiver.
