…add weight. It might seem like common sense, but if saving fuel is a top priority, go light. Even though most of the upgrades we make to our pickups to improve their efficiency and performance in the work place, they hurt fuel economy.

…keep tire pressures at vehicle recommended psi. You can find your truck’s recommended psi on the door placard. Under-inflated tires hurt MPG. For every 1 psi all four tires are under-inflated, there’s a .4-percent drop in fuel economy/
