NRMCA announces winners of 2008 environmental excellence awards contest

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has named the winners of the 2008 commitment to environmental excellence awards program, a contest sponsored by the magazine Concrete Products. A record number of entries was reviewed and ranked by a panel of judges based on a written narrative covering ten evaluation criteria. The program recognizes companies that met and surpassed governmental compliance requirements and demonstrated a commitment to environmental excellence through plant and staff investment. The contest gives national recognition to winners for outstanding contributions in protecting the environment and maintaining excellent management practices.
