Screen Shot 2015-12-11 at 12.30.51 PMThe Michigan Department of Transportation is looking for public comments on the draft of its 2016-2020 Five-Year Transportation program that details funding and transportation projects in that time span.

An interactive map for the proposed projects is available here, and the draft plan is available for review at www.michigan.gov/mdot5yearplan.

“The Five-Year Transportation Program is a continuous, interactive dialogue with the users of the state transportation system, and anchors MDOT’s project development,” the agency says. “The integrated multi-modal program emphasizes system preservation and safety, and carries out the goals and policies outlined by the State Transportation Commission (STC).”

Beyond the list of transportation projects, the plan details funding methodologies and investment strategies as well as the economic impact of the project work planned.

MDOT is taking comments until Jan. 9. Comments should be sent to Geralyn A. Ayers, Michigan Department of Transportation, Environmental Services Section, P.O. Box 30050, Lansing, MI 48909;
