Useful for applications where users already have a generator on site or have grid power available, Doosan Portable Power’s HP750e portable air compressor features a quiet three-phase electric motor instead of a diesel engine. Launched at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011, the 750-cfm unit is 100-percent emissions free and therefore not subject to EPA emissions regulations. Power and cooling systems are controlled by a liquid cooled variable frequency drive system. The electric-driven model eliminates the need to purchase, store and transport diesel fuel, and has easily accessible major service points for simplified maintenance. The HP750e’s intuitive full color digital display has a dual colored LED backlighting system to ensure operator visibility, and an easy-to-use interface can be remotely monitored via wireless connection with a smartphone, tablet or personal computer. A heavy duty tandem axle running gear has an extended life slipper spring system for protection during highway towing.
Mustang’s RT Series compact track loaders – the 1750RT and 2100RT – feature the HydraTrac Automatic Track Tensioning System, which eliminates the need for manually tensioning the track on the loader prior to operation, increasing track life and saving time on the jobsite. The 1750RT and 2100RT have Yanmar Tier III naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines, respectively, that deliver 68.4 horsepower and 179 foot-pounds of torque on the 1750RT and 70.7 horsepower and 206 foot-pounds of torque on the 2100RT. The radial lift boom offers more than 127.5 inches in lift height. The operator’s cab includes adjustable seat mounted electro-hydraulic controls.
Improve production efficiency with Morbark’s 3800XL horizontal grinder, which features a reverse-pivot feed system to minimize space between the feed wheel and the hammermill. Engine options include Caterpillar, Cummins or John Deere, and deliver up to 800 horsepower. The 3800XL has a 59 3/4-inch infeed opening, a 10 1/4-cubic-yard infeed hopper and a variable speed system. An Integrated Control System automatically adjusts feed rates and monitors pressures and feed wheel position.
Experience off-road traction and a quieter ride with Goodyear’s G278 MSD super single tire, designed for severe duty applications. Available in 385, 425 and 445/65R in 22.5, the G278 MSD features a criss-cross tread design that pumps water away to enhance grip. Grooved angles with full width interlocking groove prevents embedded stones in the tread, and cuts, chips and tears are avoided through special compounding. The tire has a 1-inch-larger footprint than its predecessor, the G178 Super Single.
Kenworth’s T370 6×6 configuration, designed for construction applications including utility service, includes a factory installed front drive axle in 10,000- to 16,000-pound ratings, and comes equipped with a 40,000-pound rated rear suspension. The T370 6×6 is currently available with the Chalmers series 854-40 suspension, with the Hendrickson PRIMAAX EX rear air suspension to be available later this year. A choice of either the Paccar PX-6 or Paccar PX-8 engines is available.
Easily perform repairs in tight spaces with the HA33 CJ compact electric articulating boom from the Haulotte Group, which features a 6-foot 3-inch stowed height for transport through standard doorways. The 3-foot 11-inch width enables the operator to simultaneously drive and steer while moving the jib or rotating the platform. The HA33 CJ, has a direct electric transmission system, change indicators on both control panels and an accessible battery box. The HA33 CJ+ model includes a horizontal rotating jib for additional flexibility.
Handle 4-inch solids with Griffin’s dewatering pump, designed for wastewater and sewer bypass pumping, sumping and flood control. The silent, non-clog unit features a 450-horsepower engine with a head capacity of more than 300 feet. The pump is capable of flows up to 9,000 gpm with a 12-inch suction and 10-inch discharge. The trailer mounted unit comes equipped with a large cleanout port which eliminates the need to remove the suction hose or suction piping when removing debris from the impeller.
Panasonic’s Toughbook 53 is drop-resistant to 30 inches on six sides and passes nine military standard tests. The notebook, powered by a second generation Intel i5 or i3 processor, supports a high definition LED display, and an optional 2-800 nit sunlight-viewable CircuLumin touchscreen is available. An optional dual antenna pass-through enables in-vehicle use. Features include a spill-resistant keyboard, magnesium alloy case with handle, shock-mounted flex-connect HDD with quick release and a pre-installed replaceable screen film on the touchscreen model.
Wireless technology options:
• Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
• Bluetooth 2.1
• Gobi2000 3G mobile broadband
• 4G LTE networks
Reduce friction and wear in both on- and off-road applications with Chevron Lubricants’ Delo Grease ESI, which can extend service intervals up to and beyond 30,000 miles. Useful for Class 6 through 8 trucks, Delo Grease ESI protects a range of components including wheel bearings, chassis, steering drag links, kingpins, brake cam shafts, fifth wheel faceplates and pivots operating under high and low temperature conditions. The grease, which features highly refined base stocks, a lithium complex thickener, rust and oxidation inhibitors and extreme pressure and tackiness additives, works well in automatic centralized greasing systems.
Locate, measure and record information with just one device with Trimble’s TSC3 handheld controller, which has built-in GPS, 3G and Wi-Fi, as well as a 5-megapixel camera. Part of the Connected Site portfolio, the TSC3 streamlines site measurement and stakeout operations. The shock, dust and water resistant unit features ruggedized bumpers for durability. The TSC3 has a 4.2-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen display.
