Though the company offers the Google-like ease of finding just about any piece of construction equipment for rent, anywhere in the country, you won’t find a search bar on the BigRentz homepage. Just easy-to-navigate images gradually guiding you to the right machine.

BigRentz has announced that Keith Holmes, who until now oversaw the company’s development of partnerships with equipment rental companies across the U.S., has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.

The company, based in Irvine, California, operates as an online equipment rental service that allows contractors from anywhere in the U.S. to quickly search and rent a machine without having to pick up the phone or head into a rental store. To do this, the company sources machines from nearly 2,000 rental companies across the U.S. and works with those companies to facilitate delivery to end users. You can read our full, in-depth profile on the company and how it serves both contractors and rental partners in our June article.

As the director of strategic partnerships, Holmes headed a team charged with developing relationships with those all-important suppliers. In addition to sending those rental houses more business and allowing them to cast a wider net for potential customers, BigRentz also supplies its supplier partners with rental data and other machine trends it sees in that company’s local market.

BigRentz says Holmes has led the addition of “thousands of rental partners” to its network, building “strategic relationships with them resulting in the company having access to over $50 billion in heavy equipment assets.”

In his new role, Holmes will report directly to CEO Scott Cannon and will “lead the operational management of the inbound customer queue, customer care, specialty services and supply.”

“Keith has done a tremendous job over the past four years engaging with rental partners to understand and meet their needs – he’s been a significant contributor to BigRentz’s network of more than 8,000 rental yards and 1,600 partners,” Cannon says in a statement. “His expertise of the rental industry, attention to detail and intuitive management style will benefit our customers as he develops strategies and facilitates operational and technical efficiencies to improve services and overall profitability.”

“Connecting with rental partners for the past few years has provided me insight on the day-to-day business challenges they face and to be a part of their solution for maximizing their equipment use. With this perspective, I look forward to focusing on customer engagement and fine-tuning processes that improves customers’ equipment sourcing as they become more comfortable transacting online,” Holmes says.

Holmes began his career at BigRentz as a Regional Manager and was promoted to Director of Strategic Partnerships in 2016. He has a B.A. in Organizational Communications from Azusa Pacific University and is currently working on his Masters in Psychology at Pepperdine University.
