A Closer Look: Develon's First-Ever Compact Track Loader, the DTL35

Updated Apr 22, 2024

Develon announced its entry into the compact track loader market at ConExpo 2023, and Equipment World got a closer look at its first model, the DTL35, at the ARA Show in February.

Still in the prototype stage, some of the features and options are subject to change. Jacob Sherman, dealer and product marketing manager, shared all the highlights of the machine, which you can check out in the video above. The official launch is slated for later this year, with two additional models planned after that.

The DTL35 will run on a 115-horsepower, 3.4-liter Develon D34 engine, which is the same as on the company’s DD100 dozer and 14-ton excavator.

It’s equipped with high-flow auxiliary hydraulics and a standard quick coupler for fast swaps of various attachments, including 13 Develon-branded attachments. Multiple track options will be available.

The spacious cab features a swing-out door made of half-inch-thick polycarbonate that is unbreakable and offers high visibility for the operator. On colder days, operators can flip on the heat on the comfortable air suspension seat.

E-H joystick controls allow operators to adjust sensitivity and responsiveness. Machine functions can be viewed and adjusted on the 8-inch full-color touchscreen. A second 8-inch monitor displays the standard rearview camera. An All Around View Monitoring camera system, which provides a 360-degree view around the loader for increased safety is optional.

All daily maintenance checkpoints are easily accessible and telematics comes standard for the life of the machine.
