Caterpillar’s new Tier 4 Final M Series 3 motor graders boost fuel efficiency
| February 06, 2014 |
Save fuel and reduce emissions with the latest M Series 3 motor graders from Caterpillar—the 12M3, 140M3, 160M3 and their all-wheel-drive counterparts.
The EPA Tier 4 Final machines use Caterpillar’s aftertreatment solution and Selective Catalytic Reduction using Diesel Exhaust Fluid that can be filled from ground level when the machine is fueled.
Cab features include Cat’s electronic joystick controls that reduce arm movement by 78 percent; a redesigned message display in the center console; new storage bins and a DEF tank level gauge. Available options include heated and ventilated seat; seat belt indicator light and LED lights that make it easier to service the machine in low light conditions.
M Series 3 motor graders are equipped with Product Link, allowing fleet owners to track location, hours fuel usage, productivity, idle time and diagnostic codes through the online VisionLink interface. Cat Grade Control Cross Slope and Cat AccuGrade are available as options.
