Police in Connecticut are investigating the discovery of a noose on a construction site as a possible hate crime.

According to a report from the Associated Press, a worker with Turner Construction found a noose on a jobsite for the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington Wednesday.

Work on the site was stopped for the day for police to search the area and for company officials to meet with the crew.

Turner told the Associated Press that it has a zero tolerance police for harassment and said any worker found responsible for the noose would “not be allowed back.”

According to a report from NBC Connecticut, the noose isn’t the first found on Turner jobsites in the state. The Connecticut NAACP told NBC workers found more than one news on a Stamford jobsite in 2007.
