Winter Safety Step 2: Check scaffolding, pipes, other equipment

scaffolding

Scaffolds are sturdy pieces of equipment that lend a great hand to a construction site; however, torrential weather can sometimes cause them to wear and tear slightly. It is advised that you keep a record of how often you check your scaffolding and ensure at all times that the nuts and bolts are tight.

If you have a water supply on your site, it is important that the pipes are checked, especially if you are leaving the construction site for a few days for Christmas. Heaters in your porta-cabin should also be ventilated.
