VTCA endorses Virginia gubernatorial, House of Delegates candidates

loaderThe Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) announced Thursday that it is endorsing Terry McAuliffe for governor of Virginia.

VTCA, an association that represents industries working on transportation infrastructure, said it also endorses 17 members of the Virginia House of Delegates for re-election.

The association said its endorsement of McAuliffe is based on in-person interviews with candidates of both major parties, candidate presentations and candidates’ responses to a questionnaire that looked at issues important to VTCA members.

VCTA also endorsed the following incumbents in the Virginia House of Delegates:

  • Delegate David Albo (R-Springfield)

  • Delegate Tom Rust (R-Herndon)

  • Delegate Ed Scott (R-Culpeper)

  • Delegate Danny Marshall (R-Danville)

  • Delegate Randy Minchew (R-Leesburg)

  • Delegate Jim LeMunyon (R-Chantilly)

  • Delegate David Yancey (R-Newport News)

  • Delegate Joseph Yost (R-Blacksburg)

  • Delegate Chris Head (R-Roanoke)

  • Delegate Ron Villanueva (R-Virginia Beach)

  • Delegate Mark Dudenhefer (R-Stafford)

  • Delegate Thomas “Tag” Greason (R-Loudoun)

  • Delegate Michael Watson (R-Williamsburg)

  • Delegate Mamye Bacote (D-Newport News)

  • Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Springfield)

  • Delegate David Bulova (D-Fairfax)
