Volvo Trucks North America opened a parts distribution center in Dallas Dec. 6. Volvo dealers the parts distribution center serves will be able to receive parts orders overnight by truck in most cases rather than by air freight, said Rikard Jonsson, senior vice president – parts sales and marketing. Volvo expects the 63,000-square-foot parts distribution center to fill more 180,000 parts orders annually. The company also has parts distribution centers in Reno, Nev., Memphis, Tenn., Columbus, Ohio, Joliet, Ill., and Ontario, Canada.
