Trimble adds weighing capabilities to Connected Site with acquisition of Actronic Technologies

Trimble’s Connected Construction Site will receive a bit of an upgrade thanks to the company’s recent acquisition of Actronic Technologies.

Actronic produces weighing technology and payload information systems for construction, aggregate, mining and waste markets.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the acquisition includes Actronic’s Loadrite system, which will add weighing capabilities to Trimble’s offerings like the Trimble Connected Site.

Trimble’s Connected Site allows contractors to monitor daily activities and progress on a construction site remotely or from the office through a cloud-based system.
