Truck sales may be down, but purchases of truck parts and accessories may soon be on the rise.
According to a survey done on behalf of SEMA’s Performance Parts and Accessories Demand Index, 11.4 percent of customers surveyed plan to purchase custom parts and accessories for their vehicles, and of those 18.4 percent plan to modify their pickups.
Why, do you ask? Turns out, owners of the 51 million-plus trucks out on the road today say they intend to look for ways to keep their trucks running longer.
