TRB staff members move into technical, strategic initiative roles

trb_logo1The Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academies has moved several staff members into new positions to support its Strategic Initiatives and Technical Activities programs.

Mark Norman will become the director of Program Development and Strategic Initiatives. For 15 years he had served as the director of TRB’s Technical Activities Division, a role that Dr. Ann Brach will now take. She had been director of the group’s Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) and was instrumental, TRB said, in establishing the $218 million program.

Steve Andrle will become the program director for the Safety Data and Public Transportation for the Technical Activities Division, having previously been the deputy director of the SHRP2 program. David Plazak takes the role of associate director for Safety Data in the Technical Activities Division, and Alyssa Hernandez will become program officer for Safety Data.
