TranSystems, an engineering and consulting firm that provides integrated solutions for transportation infrastructure challenges, has announced the promotion of Anthony Albert to Principal.

Albert has 22 years of engineering experience in the construction management of large, complex roadways and structures. During his time with TranSystems he has held a number of leadership positions, including Construction Team Leader and project manager for some of the company’s largest construction management projects.

Albert’s promotion was part of an annual process determined by the firm’s Partner Performance and Development Committee (PPDC), a committee that was formed in 2003 to refine TranSystems’ leadership development standards by identifying a process for selecting the company’s future leaders.

“Tony is a proven leader in Chicago and the Great Lakes Region – having been successful in a number of leadership roles in the company – from project manager and team leader to client manager and his most recent position as Senior Associate,” said Martin Ross, Principal in the Chicago office. “He has helped to grow and manage the firm’s construction management program in the Chicago area, making TranSystems one of the leading construction management firms in that area.”

Most recently Albert has been focused on building client relationships and leading construction management projects in the Chicago area, including the City of Chicago’s Wacker Drive Reconstruction, I-90/94 Ohio Feeder Bridge Replacement, Kennedy/Dan Ryan Expressway Viaduct Replacement Program, and the Chicago Tunnel System Inspection and Management.

“I feel honored to be nominated for the position of principal,” Albert said. “I look forward to working with others within TranSystems to support the overall company vision and to continue to foster our commitment to our clients.”
