Tensar International appoints Libby Hungerford to Central Area regional sales manager team

Tensar International Corp. has appointed Libby Hungerford to the Central Area regional sales manager team.

In her new role, Hungerford will manage technical promotion, design support, sales and distribution for the central U.S. She will partner with construction product distributors, Carter Waters and ASP Construction while also supporting the needs of the engineering public within her region.

Hungerford has 10 years of business development and engineering management experience from working in the geotechnical engineering industry. She has worked with companies such as Professional Service Industry (PSI) and Kleinfelder as a geotechnical consulting engineer and management team leader.

“Tensar was looking for a regional manager who could provide unique product and service offerings to help owners, engineers and contractors make informed decisions regarding roadway construction and rehabilitation,” said Steve Archer, Central Area Manger, Tensar, in a written statement. “Libby’s experience in the geotechnical engineering industry will be highly beneficial for this technically capable role. As is consistent with our business model, Tensar regional managers are solution orientated providers, and I have full confidence that Libby will be a strong asset to the regional sales manager team.”

Hungerford is a registered professional engineer in the states of Missouri and Kansas. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin as well as a Master of Engineering degree from Texas A&M University.

“As regional manager, I plan to use my strong academic and professional geotechnical engineering background to support local engineers in the design and use of TriAx geogrids, GlasGrid and GlasPave,” said Hungerford. “During my short time with Tensar, I have been introduced to our regional exclusive distributors and am working to deepen my knowledge of these products.”

Hungerford is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA), the Design Build Institute of America and the Society of American Military Engineers.
