SnowEx Introduces Model SP-7550 V-Maxx Spreader

WARREN, Mich. — SnowEx, a division of TrynEx International, introduces the new SP-7550 V-Maxx bulk spreader. Intended for use with full-size pickup trucks, the 7550 model is ideal for municipalities and professional contractors catering to larger jobs.

Constructed of patented corrosion-resistant polyethylene, the hopper features a 1.4 cubic-yard capacity. As with the entire V-Maxx line, the 7550 has the ability to spread virtually any combination of materials.

Intended for use in pickups (6-foot beds or larger), the 7550 features the same patented multi-angle hopper and inverted-“V” salt/sand baffle design found throughout the SnowEx line of V-Maxx spreaders. Combined with an attached vibrator, the hopper allows for continuous flow of a multitude of material combinations, from 100 percent bulk salt to a 50/50 bulk salt to road sand mixture. A longitudinal auger configuration further encourages efficient flow throughout the hopper to the spinner by reducing potential binding and bridging of materials.

Because the hopper is constructed entirely of polyethylene, common corrosion and maintenance concerns associated with standard steel V-box alternatives are eliminated. Though the hopper features thick-walled construction, the unit is up to 40 percent lighter than similar capacity steel-built options, making it easier to install or remove and reducing the carrying vehicle’s fuel consumption.

Additionally, the 7550 features an exclusive poly enclosure around the spinner assembly, which provides maximum protection for the business end of the spreader while eliminating another potential corrosion concern.

As with all powered SnowEx spreaders, the 7550 is completely driven by a patented 12-volt electric drive/transmission sealed unit. Because the unit is fully electric, there are no engines, pulleys, sprockets, chains or belts. This translates into low-maintenance, worry-free functionality.

The unique independent spinner/auger controller makes operation of the 7550 simple. This cab-mounted controller allows for independent spinner speed and material flow adjustment, meaning the material usage and spread pattern can be matched to nearly any project demand. Spread width is infinitely variable up to 40 feet.

To utilize the receiver hitch without having to remove the entire spreader, the 7550 is built with a quick-connect spinner assembly. After removing one pin, simply take off the spinner assembly and the vehicle’s hitch is exposed and easily accessible. Compared with competitive models that require the spreader assembly to be unbolted or for the entire spreader to be removed from the truck’s bed before being able to tow, the quick-connect spinner assembly allows this conversion to take place in a matter of seconds.

Available as an option on the 7550 is the Express Mount Kit. Included in the kit is a heavy-duty steel subframe that mounts directly to the truck-bed base. The frame surrounding the spreader easily slides into the subframe and locks the unit into place. Removal takes less than a minute and simply requires two people to activate two quick-release levers and slide the spreader out of the truck bed. Also included in the kit is a mobile wheel attachment for easy mobility of the unit and convenient, space-saving storage.

Standard features for the 7550 include an auxiliary LED brake light, work light, fitted tarp, mounting kit, top screen and 2-year warranty.
