worldWorld of Concrete:

Get Tough

Sure, it’s a lousy economy. But now’s the time to learn how to survive and thrive by using what you know and building on it to move ahead.

The World of Concrete’s motto this year is “When the going gets tough, the tough turn to World of Concrete.” The 2010 show, which will be held Feb. 1-5 (seminars begin Feb. 1, the show floor opens Feb. 2) in Las Vegas, is focused on providing new ways to sustain and grow your business in today’s changing economy with it’s “2010 Survive and Thrive” plan. Even in a tough economy, about 1,600 exhibitors and more than 800,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit space, are expected at this year’s show. More than 100 education sessions will be available to help you.

World of Asphalt: Cincinnati

Education and knowledge of innovative equipment, products and process will give contractors, agency personnel an edge ondoing more with less in a down economy.

The World of Asphalt Show & Conference, co-located with AGG1, will take place at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, Feb. 15-18, bringing together asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety, and aggregates professionals to network, discuss industry trends, and get up to speed on the latest innovations. The event will feature an in-depth educational program and exhibits that showcase the latest technologies and innovations in equipment, products, and services for asphalt and aggregates industries.

Product-focused exhibit pavilions and a New Product & Technology Program will make it easier for attendees to find new and innovative products and services on the show floor and discuss specific operational functions with exhibitors. Product pavilions for aggregates and asphalt will feature testing/measurement and information/technology.

“Our education is developed by industry experts who know first-hand what contractors and others face in their daily work,” Show Director Melissa Magestro tells Better Roads. “In this economy, especially, knowledge of the latest processes and product innovations is key for success.”

Magestro continues: “Education is more important than ever in a down economy to help companies do more with less.” The educational sessions will not only position attendees for future success with knowledge they gain from the show education programs, Magestro says, but also “it’s an investment that will provide both immediate and long-lasting value.”
