RER’s Top 100 firms reach highest-ever total equipment rental volume

United RentalsThe RER 100 topped $15.4 billion, the highest-ever total rental volume, according to RER magazine, which annually ranks North American rental firms based on volume.

Total volume increased by 10.4 percent over last year, when RER calculated volumes totaled $13.967 billion.

Behemoth United Rentals once again topped the list with a total rental volume of $4.196 billion, followed by Sunbelt Rentals at 1.843 billion and Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation at $1.307 billion.

Rounding out the top 10 were Home Depot Rental, BlueLine Rental (former Volvo Rents), Agreeko North America, Ahern Rentals, H&E Equipment Services, Sunstate Equipment and Caterpillar dealer Finning. RER says total volume for the top 10 firms was $9.928 billion, a 11.2 percent increase over last year’s top 10 volume.
