Peterbilt has begun production of the Model 579, which the company launched during the Mid-America Trucking Show. Peterbilt is building the first 579 production vehicles for Peterbilt and PacLease dealers.
The 579 features aerodynamic styling optimized for high fuel efficiency and an interior intended to provide operator comfort. The 2.1 meter aluminum cab is available in a day cab or with a detachable sleeper and includes a Paccar MX 12.9 liter engine.
