Perkins Engines promotes David Nicoll, Jason Kern

Perkins Engine has named David Nicoll product manager of its Industrial Large Engine department, and placed Jason Kern in Nicoll’s former position as marketing and channel development director.

In his new position, Nicoll will lead global strategy, product introductions and lifecycle management for industrial 9.3 to 18-liter engines manufactured by the Caterpillar subsidiary in Mossville, Illinois.

Nicoll’s Caterpillar career has included several roles in distribution, machine and engines. He also serves as a leader with several professional organizations, including the Association of Equipment Manufacturers Components Committee.

KernsKerns

Succeeding Nicoll, Kern will be responsible for execution of global marketing and rental strategies and leading the Perkins Distributor Excellence program. Kern comes to the position after serving as large hydraulic excavator global growth manager.  His previous Caterpillar positions include marketing supervisor in Aurora, commercial manager in Grenoble, France, and the Americas regional product manager. He will be located at Caterpillar’s Seguin engine facility.
