Pavia Systems is hosting “e-Construction in Practice,” a peer exchange webinar with the Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to discuss transportation infrastructure issues.

Stephen Meunch, associate professor of civil engineering at the University of Washington and founding director of Greenroads will moderate the webinar scheduled for 11 a.m. PST Jan. 27. The program will last an hour and will be interactive to allow for questions.

Included in the session will be a panel discussion on the current implementation of e-Construction across the U.S. and its impact on state highway construction productivity, real-time decision-making, data quality and data availability and safety.

The panel will be made up of Roxana Garcia, TxDOT project engineer and Derek Case, WSDOT construction engineer.

Also to be discussed as part of the webinar are processes, opportunities and procedures involved in launching new technology solutions for state DOTs, tips on how to use federal grants to fund e-Construction, successful use of specific e-Construction tools and tips for gaining “buy-in” on technology initiatives across an agency.
