OSHA debuts ‘Safety Pays’ eTool

Estimate the costs of occupational illnesses and injuries and assess the impact on your company with a new tool the Occupational Safety and Health Administration provides on its website. The “Safety Pays” eTool, located on OSHA’s Office of Small Business Assistance website, enables business owners to calculate both direct and indirect costs of injuries, as well as determining the amount of revenue needed to compensate for the loss. The web-based application requires no downloading and includes up-to-date injury cost figures.

The OSBA website also includes a new safety link in Spanish, which gives small businesses access to Spanish-language safety materials including cards, booklets and posters.

For more information on the Safety Pays eTool or the Spanish language link, visit the OSBA website.
