Brokk 70Brokk has launched its smallest electric demolition robot, the Brokk 70, which has the same dimensions as its predecessor but twice the power, the company says.

The Brokk 70 weighs 1,235 pounds, and at 35 inches tall and 12.5 inches wide, it can fit through narrow doorways and into tight spaces for interior demolition jobs. It can also be transported by a typical passenger elevator. Its three-part arm extends up 10.5 feet and 8.8 feet horizontally. It replaces the Brokk 60 II.

The demolition robot comes with Brokk’s BHB 105 hydraulic breaker, which produces 117 foot-pounds of striking force. It can be outfitted with such optional features as water spray to suppress dust, and air cooling for hot environments. It can also be paired with concrete crushers, drum cutters, grapples, scoop buckets and other attachments.

The Brokk 70 electric engine delivers 9.8 kilowatts of power. Hydraulic output is 5.5 kilowatts. The robot is equipped with the company’s SmartPower, which senses poor or faulty power supply and compensates to prevent damage to components. Its SmartRemote system allows a remote wireless working range of nearly 1,000 feet.

Brokk also incorporated its SmartDesign, which has 70 percent fewer cables and includes LED headlights, rugged components, and easily accessible grease points and hydraulic hoses for durability and ease of maintenance, the company says.
