Manitowoc has broken ground on a crane production facility in Passo Fundo, Brazil. It will be complete by the end of 2011 and will start production in the second or third quarter of 2012. The facility will be close to 270,000 square feet and will support Brazil and Latin America. The company says the facility is part of their goals to make a larger presence in Brazil.
