SK25SRCombining a zero-tail-swing radius and best-in-class digging depths, Kobelco has launched its newest compact excavators in the SK25 and SK17.
While designed for tight working spaces with short 5-foot, 5-inch and 4-foot, 6-inch front minimum swing radii respectively, the SK25 and SK17 combine that maneuverability with long reaches. The company says both machines have been designed to deliver excellent side ditch digging and to move smoothly along walls.
SK17SRThe 5,930-pound SK25 features a digging depth of 9 feet, 2 inches and a swing speed of 10 rpm. Kobelco says the machine boasts a digging force of 4,456 pounds and a maximum digging reach of 15 feet, 7 inches, making it plenty capable for loading, placing and dozing applications.
The SK25 can be outfitted with either steel or rubber track shoes and a ROPS/FOPS cab or a canopy.
The 3,836-pound SK17 is the smallest of all Kobelco’s excavators and features a digging depth of 7 feet, 3 inches and swing speed of 9.5 rpm. Its hydraulic side frames are capable of retracting to 37 inches to enter tight areas and extending to 50 inches for added working stability. Adding to the machine’s maneuverability is its dozer blade design which allows for quick detaching and attaching.
The SK17 has a max digging reach of 12 feet, 2 inches and a digging force of 2,833 pounds.
Both machines feature a large cab with ample floor space and large travel pedals. A backlit display comes standard on the SK25 giving the operator at-a-glance updates on operation and machine status.
A boom light comes standard on both machines along with a travel alarm and a pattern changer with a blade cutting edge.
