John Deere’s Nortrax acquires Holt Equipment Company

Nortrax announced today that it has acquired fellow John Deere Construction and Forestry equipment dealer Holt Equipment Company and has begun leasing Holt’s dealerships.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Holt’s dealership footprint covers 78 counties across Kentucky and Indiana with locations in Louisville, Richmond, London and Bowling Green. Nortrax is based in Tampa, Florida and is a subsidiary of John Deere.

Tim J. Murphy, President and CEO of Nortrax, said in a prepared statement that employment levels at the Holt locations will remain the same under Nortrax’s ownership and there are currently no plans to close any Holt locations.

“The intent is to grow the Nortrax business, and at the same time create new opportunites for all employees,” Murphy said.
