John Deere has announced a DPF retrofit kit to allow customers to bring legacy machines up to current emissions reduction requirements.

The heavy equipment maker worked with Nett Technologies, a retrofit supplier based in Toronto, to develop an actively regenerated DPF solution for 13 “key” legacy Deere machines. Nett’s VorTEQ 100 DPF meets California Air Resource Board level 3 verification and carries the CARB 5-year/4,200-hour mandatory warranty.

The VorTEQ is a standalone system and therefore does not interact with a machine’s electronic or operator monitor systems It utilizes a controller, monitor and diesel burner to monitor filter condition and control regen, according to the John Deere announcement.

You can see the list of machines supported by the retrofit kit below. Deere says it will be adding kits for more legacy machines in the near future.
